Welcome to our beautiful days of Summer – which, believe it or not, is almost over and Labor Day is right around the corner!!!
We are in the transition month as we begin this year and make plans for it.
Membership: - - it continues to grow! – Our new website: www.lhpchamber.com is a fabulous tool and resource for us as members, the residents of Lighthouse Point and potential new members to our organization. Renewals should have been sent to the Chamber address of: 3640 - B3 N. Federal Highway, #611 Lighthouse Point, Fl 33064.
Socials: - The August Social has typically been at a shopping center and it is a meet and greet with a flow of visitations at the storefronts of our members. On Tuesday August 17th we will be at the Shoppes of Beacon Light located on Federal Highway and NE 24th Street – two blocks north of Copans Road on the east side of the street. That evening, we will be visiting: Beacon Light Jewelers & Engravers, Body & Soul Boutique, My Own Cruising Journal, Merle Norman Cosmetics & Day Spa, Allstate Insurance, Bank United and others. - - Each location will have beverages and snacks available for you to enjoy. Please come with your business cards that evening. We will be stamping your cards at each location and then enter them in a drawing that will take place at 6:45 at the final stop (which will be announced on the E-vite you will receive one week prior to the event.
The 7th Annual Taste of Lighthouse Point will be Tuesday, January 18th, 2011. The committee needs to be formed over the summer months. We are looking for an event chair as well as committee chairs for the Auction, Sponsorship and Restaurant Committees. Also we are looking for additional members to begin to meet and coordinate efforts for this event. Please join us and bring your “creative” side with ideas and suggestions. It can only be the best with the efforts of all the members!!! Contact Michele via the website with your intent to join us. The meetings will be held the first Tuesday of each month at 3320 N Federal Highway at 6-7:00 PM, usually starting in the month of July and each and every month thereafter. We are looking for sponsors at the 3 levels, donations of items for the Auctions and names of others to contact to become either a sponsor or donor.
